Device library is corrupted

The USB the booth just rejected.

RELIBACO detects that error on your Rekordbox drives and repairs the export.pdb database in place. It backs up first, removes junk files, and prunes broken playlist links — the last-minute rescue before the set.

What the player shows
USBFault

Device library is corrupted.

export.pdb—

The failure

It worked at soundcheck.

At home the crate opened. At the club the display stops on one sentence, and every playlist behind it is unreachable. RELIBACO is the repair you run on that same stick, backstage, before you hand it to the booth.

Method

Four moves. Then the player reads the drive.

  1. 01

    Detect

Plug in the USB. RELIBACO looks for the device-library failure players report as “device library is corrupted,” centered on PIONEER/rekordbox/export.pdb.

  2. 02

    Back up

Before a single byte changes, the database is copied on the drive. If the night goes sideways, the original is still there.

  3. 03

    Clean

Junk that does not belong in a Rekordbox export — debris from a bad eject, thumbnail caches, half-written temp files — comes off the volume.

  4. 04

    Prune

Playlist entries whose tracks are no longer on the stick are cut. What remains is a library the player can open.

Console

Run it before you believe it.

A simulated club USB. Your drives are not mounted — this only plays the rescue sequence.

    Limits

    What it will touch

    Will

    • The USB export — not the master library on your computer
    • A backup written before export.pdb is edited
    • Junk files that do not belong in the export
    • Playlist links that point at missing audio

    Won’t

    • Cues, grids, and metadata on tracks that are still there
    • The collection stored on your laptop
    • A requirement that Rekordbox is running
    • Bring back audio that isn’t on the stick — missing tracks stay missing

    FAQ

    Short answers

    Which error does it fix?

The one the player shows when a Rekordbox device library on USB will not load: “device library is corrupted.” RELIBACO repairs the export.pdb behind that screen, in place.

Does it change my laptop library?

No. It works on the USB you plug in. Your Rekordbox collection on the computer stays where it is.

    What gets deleted?

Junk files, and playlist entries whose audio is no longer on the drive. Tracks that are present stay.

Can I get the original back?

Yes. The database is copied on the drive before anything is rewritten, so you can put the original back.

    When can I download it?

Windows and macOS builds are not out yet. Leave your address and the platform you need.

    Who wrote it?

RELIBACO is written by Muhsin Evren Betimen. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by AlphaTheta Corporation. Rekordbox is a trademark of its owner.
